On May 2, 2013, the United Master Executive Council of the Air Line Pilots Association unanimously adopted the following resolution regarding legislation requiring secondary barriers on all commercial aircraft:

The UAL MEC fully supports the efforts of Ellen Saracini, as assisted by the UAL-MEC Legislative Committee, to secure passage of H.R. 1775, the Saracini Aviation Safety Act of 2013, which legislates mandatory installation of secondary barriers on US commercial aircraft.
